Students who are willing to study the IB DP in Year 2 of our High School ought to make
an appointment for an interview. They will be asked to submit:

their last report
school or extracurricular achievements certificates
registration form (will be available soon)

The school is planning to offer the following choice of subjects within the IB DP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme):
At least 3 subjects (but no more than 4) are studied at Higher Level: 5/6 lessons per week.
The remaining three subjects are studied at Standard Level: 4 lessons per week.
All three parts of the core:
1. Theory of Knowledge (2 hours per week)
2. Extended Essay
3. Creativity, Action, Service
are compulsory and are central to the philosophy of the Diploma Programme.

1. Theory of knowledge (TOK)

The interdisciplinary TOK course is designed to provide coherence by exploring the nature of knowledge across disciplines, encouraging an appreciation of other cultural perspectives.

2. Extended essay

The extended essay has a prescribed limit of 4,000 words. It offers the opportunity to investigate a topic of individual interest, and acquaints students with the independent research and writing skills expected at university.

3. Creativity, action, service (CAS)

Participation in the School's CAS programme encourages students to be involved in artistic pursuits, sports and community service work, thus fostering students' awareness and appreciation of life outside the academic arena.

If the number of students wishing to take a particular subject is insufficient, the School may withdraw it from offer.

The total minimum number of lessons in High School Year 2 & 3 is of 32 lessons a week.
